CSHP British Columbia Mentorship Program

This proposed program is designed to increase student awareness of hospital pharmacy and its many aspects including the roles of the pharmacist, the pharmacy dispensary and how the hospital system works. This will be achieved by pairing up pharmacy students and mentors during the initial meeting session, after which they can schedule the visitation based on their own agenda. Further, there will be a proposed job shadowing session where the student can be exposed to the daily activities of the pharmacist. The sessions will last from half a day to a week depending on the year of the student. Different activities and goals are outlined for each of the pharmacy student year levels.

Students who are registered in the faculty of Pharmacy in UBC and who are members of CSHP are eligible to participate in this program. The information session will take place sometime in October and the program will end in April.
