Pharmacy Orientation provides new-to-pharmacy students a "head-start" on their first year. Included in this Pharmacy Orientation experience is a tour of the pharmacy community, a chance to gain the insider's perspective to UBC pharmacy from a student leader, meet our wonderful faculty AND an opportunity to take care of important details before everyone else arrives on campus in early September.

The Pharmacy Orientation experience includes (August 28th and 29th):

    • Cunningham
      • The lab (What happens in a lab? Phar 202/299)
      • The Dean's office, Margaret's Office (Where you go if you have any pharmacy related problems)
      • Computer Lab (Where you get free printing and free computer access)
      • PhUS Lounge (A great hang out place where you get free satellite TV, cheap coffee/pop and news of the different club's updates)
    • Wood Library (Where you will be doing most of your research and studies)
    • Woodward (Where you have many of your classes in first year)
    • COPP (Where you have your physiology lab)
    • LSK (Where you will have Stats)
    • Mathamatics (Stats tutorial)
    • Westbrook (Microbiology)
    • Chemistry (Chemistry)
    • UBC Hospital (Where you can get lunch)
    • Others:
      • What is CAPSI? PDW?
      • What happens in the white coat? (What should I bring?)
      • Locker Rentals
      • Where are my CHEM labs?
      • Other Clubs including Kappa Psi, Lambda Kappa Sigma, CHIUS and Yearbook
      • Survival Tips (An abundance of relevant, fun and interesting facts, tidbits and advice about UBC and getting started at university)

    Pharmacy Orientation runs tours starting in the MORNING will start from the south entrance of the STUDENT UNION BUILDING (SUB) on August 28th and 29th. The AFTERNOON tour will begin in front of WESTBROOK at 12 NOON. Please visit www.capsiubc.com for more information about CAPSI.
