Awards

PDW Endowment Fund

This award is given to a student who attended PDW during the school year that they are applying the award for and demonstrates financial need/difficulty.

A. Award Eligibility

• CAPSI member
• Attended PDW during the same year that they are applying the award for (eg. Attended PDW in 2012 and applying for the award in term 2 of the school year 2011-2012).
• Present council members are eligible for this award. CAPSI Senior and Junior representative are not eligible for this award.

B. Criteria

• Demonstrates financial need/difficulty (eg. on active student loans)
• Demonstrate that they learned something new at PDW or attending the conference was beneficial to them in some way
• Submitted their PDW stamp card to the CAPSI Senior representative

C. Procedure

The candidate is required to submit an essay briefly describing why they should be awarded the travel fund and how attending the PDW has benefitted them. The essay must be a maximum of 1 page with standard margins and 12 point font.

D. Voting Committee

The voting committee will be comprised of the Senior and Junior representatives and all year representatives. They will use the criterion above (section B) to review all the applications.
